We flew into Copenhagen to get to Helsingborg, where the business location was. For the weekend, we went back to Copenhagen and stayed at a Wake Up chain brand hotel. Copenhagen is a super fun city with plenty to do. While I was in Amsterdam, I thought I had seen the city with the most bicyclers ever, but Copenhagen must have it beat! The weather was lovely, so it made it easier for us to want to be out and about.
When we got there Friday night, we went out to grab dinner in the Meatpacking District, and it was packed! Nearly every restaurant had at least a thirty-minute wait. We ended up eating at Gorilla, which is a mediterranean cuisine restaurant with shareable plates and cool drinks. The ambiance was really nice, and the service was great. Later we went to Jolene, which had a club vibe. Saturday, we went for brunch at a super cool, vintage restaurant with healthy/organic, amazing food. If I lived there, this would be my go-to every Saturday. We went exploring the streets and visited the Rundetaarn, Stroget area, Rosenburg Castle, Kongens Nytorv, drove a boat (that you can drink on, BYOB – hello!) to Paper Island for lunch, went to Free City of Christiana (what an experience), and went back to Paper Island for dinner/night party. It was a very full, very satisfying day! Sunday, we brunched, rode bikes, visited Nyhavn, and soaked up some final awesomeness before we ventured back to Helsingborg. This was the best weekend trip on the books. Copenhagen is a must-visit!
