Caribana is a festival in the city of Toronto that celebrates the culture and traditions in the Caribbean. There are many events surrounding the weekend, but the Parade of Bands is the main event. This is when the different bands dress in festive attire and dance to the music along a certain route. There are spectators and participators. The first year, in August 2015, I was a spectator, and I was so amazed and impressed, that I had to go a second year, July 2016, and participate. Aside from the festival, the city of Toronto is super cute, the people are kind, and it’s an all-around good time. I can see myself visiting Toronto for reasons aside from Caribana, but that just happens to be the reason I had been there thus far. Toronto, I’m coming back for you!
